Angus McKay

Executive Chair and CEO

Angus joined Bapcor in August 2024 as Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer. He is well-regarded executive who has worked in CEO and CFO roles for several iconic and ASX listed companies.

Prior to joining Bapcor, Angus was CEO at 7-Eleven Australia for 6 years where he led the company through a significant period of change. Before that he was CEO of The Skilled Group, Managing Director of Pacific National Rail and Chief Financial Officer of Asciano Limited.

With more than 30 years’ experience and a demonstrated track record of building more valuable businesses, Angus has responsibility of delivering value for Bapcor shareholders and customers. 

In addition to his professional experience, Angus also holds a Bachelor of Economics and Accounting from the University of Sydney.

George Saoud

Chief Financial Officer

George commenced as Bapcor’s Chief Financial Officer in July 2024, having previously led Coles Group’s Emerging Business as CEO for over 3 years. Commercially astute with a proven track record in driving company value, George has extensive experience in senior positions across a range of ASX listed companies, including Metcash IGA and Fantastic Holdings.

George is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He also holds a Masters of Finance from Finsia and has completed INSEAD’s Advanced Management Program.

 

Morris Lieberman

Chief Technology Officer

Morris joined Bapcor in April 2022 as Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for Information Technology and Digital across the Bapcor Group. Prior to joining Bapcor, Morris had a successful career in Australia, Germany and Singapore as Transformation Director and Global CIO at Nufarm, Direct to Consumer Director & CIO at Treasury Wine Estates as well as executive roles in Shell, Cadbury Schweppes and Fosters. Morris is a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Computing Society and holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from the Queensland University of Technology.

Merryl Dooley

Chief People and Culture Officer

Merryl joined Bapcor in October 2022 as Chief People and Culture Officer.

Merryl is an experienced strategic executive who has held Chief People Officer (CPO) roles for over 10 years across entertainment, retail and fashion.

She was recently Chief People and Sustainability Officer at Decjuba and prior to that was the CPO at Tabcorp Holdings Limited for over 10 years where she had accountability for People, Culture, Safety and Communications. Merryl is a commercial and empowering leader with a global mindset and proven experience in facilitating cultural and transformational change within an organisation. Her experience and skillset is invaluable to Bapcor.

Merryl holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of NSW, and a Bachelor of Arts (Education) from Melbourne University. She is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Kristoff Keele

Chief Strategy Officer and (Interim) Executive General Manager - Specialist Networks

Kristoff joined Bapcor in February 2023 as Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer.

Most recently Kristoff was the Head of the Melbourne Office for ANZ’s Corporate Advisory practice and prior to that was the EGM Transformation, Strategy and M&A at Toll Group where he led the execution of Toll Group’s strategy and transformation program.

Kristoff is an experienced commercial leader and brings to Bapcor deep experience leading strategy development and execution, and large-scale transformation efforts.

George Sakoufakis

General Counsel and Company Secretary

George joined Bapcor in May 2019 as General Counsel and was appointed as General Counsel and Company Secretary in February 2021.

George is an Australian legal practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in senior in-house legal and governance roles across various jurisdictions.  Prior to joining Bapcor, George held various roles at the Foster’s Group including as Acting General Counsel for Carlton and United Breweries and Legal Director for the Asia Pacific South Zone at AB InBev.

Craig Magill

Executive General Manager - Bapcor Specialist Wholesale

Craig joined Bapcor in February 2012 and is responsible for all aspects of the Bapcor Specialist Wholesale.

Craig has an extensive career in the automotive aftermarket industry spanning more than 25 years. Starting as a management cadet and working through most of the key operational and sales positions in aftermarket parts distributors.

Before joining Bapcor, he was the General Manager of RAC’S (WA) automotive workshops, which was preceded by many years at Repco. He holds a Masters in Business from Melbourne University. 

Martin Storey

Executive General Manager - Bapcor New Zealand

Martin joined BNT in September 2016, and was appointed as Executive General Manager - Bapcor New Zealand in October 2018 to lead our New Zealand businesses.

Martin grew up in the Bay of Plenty, and worked in a number of local and national businesses, as well as spending some time working overseas. In 2001, he joined Fletcher Building, holding several senior sales and general management positions over 15 years.

Steve Drummy

Executive General Manager - Bapcor Trade

Steve has over 25 years’ experience in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, industrial, wholesale, retail and health sectors. He was appointed to the role of EGM - SWG Engine Management in February 2019. Previously, Steve held EGM and CFO roles in businesses including Australian Unity, Sonepar, Hagemeyer, Blackwood’s and News Limited. Steve is responsible for Bapcor Trade.

Abdul Jaafar

Executive General Manager - Supply Chain

Abdul joined Bapcor in March 2022 in the role of EGM Supply Chain. With more than 20 years’ experience, Abdul has extensive Supply Chain and Logistics expertise gained across Europe and Asia Pacific.

Prior to joing Bapcor, Abdul held roles at organisations including Fantastic Furniture, Steinhoff, Allied Express, APS Group and TNT.  Abdul holds a Bachelor of Computing Science and Computer Software Engineering from Macquarie University and a Masters of Business Administration from CQ University.

Megan Foster

Executive General Manager - Bapcor Retail

Megan joined Bapcor in April 2024 as EGM Bapcor Retail, bringing over 25 years’ experience in senior commercial, retail, property, executive marketing and retail roles in large national and multinational companies including Myer, Woolworths, Unilever and Sass and Bide.

Megan is dynamic and passionate about leading high-performing teams in complex environments. Megan was most recently Executive General Manager, Consumer with Viva Energy where she oversaw several acquisitions including the purchase of Coles Express Convenience business for $300m.

As the EGM Retail, Megan is focused on making it easier for our team members and our customers, building Retail sales, lifting group profits and increasing value for our shareholders.
